We will have special guests, Joe Couch, Caleb Craft, and Revolution5, as our speakers this weekend in both the 10am and the 6pm services!
Revolution5 is a leadership institute that develops young people in holistic life skills using a unique kinesthetic training environment. Their core curriculum trains college/twenty-somethings to think, advocate and live from a Biblical worldview. Revolution5 is a full time nine month live-in school in Colorado Springs, CO.
Joe has served in college-aged discipleship ministry for over 12 years. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and graduated with a BA in Speech Communication, minoring in International and Comparative Cultures. He served on staff at two churches in Dallas and Houston, leading worship for youth, discipling students and assisting in various young adult camps and programs. While earning his degree he continued to invest into the college life at his local church in College Station, leading community development teams and mentoring other young men. After moving to Colorado Springs, CO, Joe worked for the International Bible Society in the outreach and marketing departments for about two years. During that time he became heavily involved in the college/twenty-something’s group of his home church, New Life. He was later hired on at New Life Church to help direct their college-aged leadership development program, and later worked with the Desperation conference, collegiate house of prayer, and school. He has led many mission trips with various groups, including Teen Mania Ministries, the Mill, and New Life School of Worship – throughout Europe, Africa, East Asia, and Mexico. Joe has been the guest speaker for events at high schools, Summer camps, student mentor training seminars, college groups, and local businesses. Joe speaks and writes as a consultant on leadership development, vision alignment and conflict resolution. Joe is married to Anelise and they have four little girls and one boy (on the way).
Caleb Craft is our Senior Pastor’s youngest son and one of The Alpine Chapel’s supported missionaries. Caleb grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and in the summer of 2013, at age 16, he moved with his family out to Colorado Springs. After graduating high school he went to one year of community college, then felt God calling him to Revolution 5. He was a Rev5 student class of 2016, upon graduation of Revolution 5, he was able to get a great job doing something he loved with Steck Insights, and in June of 2017 marry the woman of his dreams. During his year of Rev5 he began to feel the Lord’s call on his life to live for more. As Caleb prayed into what God was asking of his life he felt the Lord say his mission was to disciple, challenge, and equip leaders of the next generation to love and lead in complete freedom and zeal for the Kingdom. It’s out of this calling Caleb and Jocelyn decided to come back to Rev5 as staff. Caleb and his family are in the Revolution 5 Master Series, which means that they are in training to open a school with the same heartbeat Rev5 has in the country of Nepal. Caleb and Jocelyn love, and are very passionate about the Nepali people. Not to mention the strategic advantage of discipling and instilling leadership into the young people of Nepal, Nepal has one of the fastest growing Christian populations in the world right now. Praise God! Unfortunately, there is a huge lacking in discipleship training. Nepal has an ever increasing Christian population that is in desperate need of discipleship. This is the need Caleb and Jocelyn are training to meet. With a leadership/discipleship school like Rev5 the entire country of Nepal could actually start to change and look more like the Kingdom of God in this generation! Until then, they are loving getting to disciple, challenge, and equip leaders of the next generation of America. Caleb and Jocelyn have one little girl (Ember).
